Use this function to delete a comment in the JIRA ticket.

Syntax

Delete Comment (token, url, username, issue_key, comment_id)

Parameters

Input Parameter Name Description
token JIRA API token
url JIRA URL
username JIRA username
issue_key Key of the Issue
comment_id ID of the comment to be deleted

Returns

Return Value Description
Output
  • On Success returns 1 | Comment Deleted Successfully
  • On Failure returns 0 | Error Message

Sample

Delete Comment (ABCDCEF, https: //yourusername.atlassian.net, yourname@gmail.com, EX-30, CommentID)

  • Uses the token ABCDEF to connect to JIRA with the url https: //yourusername.atlassian.net with the username yourname@gmail.com, deletes the comment with the ID CommentID from the issue EX-30.
    Retunrs Comment Deleted Successfully on deleting the comment.
